List of Scholarships For Class 10th & 12th Passed Students 2026-27
Passing Class 10 or Class 12 is one of the biggest transition points in a student’s education. The next stage often brings higher fees, entrance-exam costs, travel, books, devices and hostel expenses at exactly the time when families are making decisions about streams, diplomas, professional courses or college admission. Scholarships can reduce that pressure, but only if students apply to the right scheme at the right stage.
There is no single scholarship portal that covers every Class 10 and 12 pass-out in India. Government schemes such as PM-USP CSSS and AICTE scholarships operate through the National Scholarship Portal, while private programmes such as LIC Golden Jubilee, HDFC Bank Parivartan, Tata Capital Pankh, Reliance Foundation and Vidyadhan use their own application systems. Eligibility can depend on marks, family income, gender, disability, course, institution or geographic area.

The 2026-27 calendar is also mixed. Some major application windows have already closed, while others remain open in October 2026. HDFC Bank Parivartan and the main AICTE schemes run to October 31, Tata Capital Pankh is scheduled to close on October 26, and the Vidyadhan Mathura Women in STEM programme runs to October 25. By contrast, LIC Golden Jubilee, Kotak Kanya and Reliance Foundation have already closed their main 2026-27 windows. Students should therefore use the list below as a current status guide rather than assuming every scholarship is still open.

1. LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2026
LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship is one of the clearest options for students from economically weaker families who have recently completed Class 10 or Class 12 and taken admission to eligible higher studies. The 2026 scholarship cycle accepted online applications through LIC and used a two-stage selection process through divisional offices.
- Applicants generally need at least 60% in the relevant Class 10 or Class 12 examination under the 2026 scheme conditions.
- The current scheme is intended for students from lower-income families; the 2026 income ceiling is ₹4.5 lakh per year.
- Eligible pathways include higher secondary, vocational/ITI, diploma, graduation and professional higher education according to the scholarship category.
- The 2026 deadline was extended to October 15, 2026 and is now closed.
2. Vidyadhan Scholarship Program
Vidyadhan is especially important for students immediately after Class 10 because its regular state programmes select students for Class 11 or equivalent study and can continue support into higher education for selected scholars. The 2026 Class 11 rounds across participating states are now closed.
One separate 2026-27 opportunity remains relevant to Class 12 pass-outs: the Vidyadhan Mathura Scholarship for Women in STEM. It is open to eligible female students connected with Mathura district who have entered first-year STEM degree or professional courses, and the closing date is October 25, 2026.
3. Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship 2026-27
Tata Capital Pankh is useful both for students continuing in Classes 11 and 12 after Class 10 and for students moving into undergraduate, diploma or ITI courses after school. For 2026-27, applicants need at least 60% in the previous academic year and annual parental income within ₹4 lakh.
The scholarship can cover a percentage of the tuition or course fee, subject to category-wise caps. The current 2026-27 application deadline is October 26, 2026, so eligible students still have a live window as of October 19.
4. HDFC Bank Parivartan ECSS Programme 2026-27
HDFC Bank Parivartan ECSS covers a wide education range, which makes it relevant to both Class 10 and Class 12 pass-outs. Students in Classes 11 and 12, Diploma, ITI, Polytechnic, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes can be covered if they satisfy the programme criteria.
The programme gives priority to students facing financial difficulty or personal/family crisis. The current application portal lists October 31, 2026 as the deadline. Students should keep their previous marksheet, current admission proof, income proof, bank details and crisis proof where applicable.
5. Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship 2026-27
This scholarship is for Class 12 pass-outs who have entered the first year of a regular full-time undergraduate degree in 2026-27. Applicants need at least 60% in Class 12, must be resident Indian citizens and should have household income below ₹15 lakh. An online aptitude test is compulsory.
The programme supports up to 5,000 undergraduate scholars and provides up to ₹2 lakh over the duration of the degree. The 2026-27 application window closed on October 5, 2026, so students who missed it will need to watch for the next cycle rather than submitting through an unofficial link.
6. AICTE Pragati Scholarship
Pragati is a major option for girl students who have passed Class 12 or an equivalent entry qualification and have taken admission to an eligible AICTE-approved technical degree or diploma programme. The family-income ceiling is ₹8 lakh and up to two girls in a family can receive support under the scheme rules.
The 2026-27 NSP application window is open until October 31, 2026. The scholarship provides ₹50,000 per year under the current structure.
7. AICTE Saksham Scholarship
Saksham supports students with at least 40% disability who enter eligible AICTE-approved technical degree or diploma programmes. The family-income ceiling is ₹8 lakh. Like Pragati, it provides ₹50,000 per year under the current scholarship model.
Applications for 2026-27 are open on the National Scholarship Portal until October 31, 2026. Students with disabilities should ensure that their disability/UDID information and NSP records are properly aligned before final submission.
8. AICTE Swanath Scholarship
Swanath is designed for students in difficult family circumstances. Eligible applicants include orphans, students who lost a parent or parents due to Covid-19, and wards of Armed Forces or Central Paramilitary Forces personnel martyred in action. The student must be in a regular AICTE-approved degree or diploma course and meet the scheme income conditions.
The scholarship provides ₹50,000 per year. The current NSP deadline for 2026-27 is October 31, 2026.
9. PM-USP Central Sector Scholarship for College and University Students
PM-USP CSSS is one of the most important merit-based scholarships for high-performing Class 12 pass-outs. Fresh applicants must generally be in the top 20th percentile of successful candidates in their board and enter a regular recognised college or university course. Annual family income should be up to ₹4.5 lakh, and students cannot simultaneously receive another scholarship or fee-waiver benefit that conflicts with the scheme.
The scholarship rate is ₹12,000 per year for the first three years and ₹20,000 per year in the fourth and fifth years where applicable. As of October 19, 2026, NSP is currently displaying the scheme for renewal applications up to October 31; a fresh 2026-27 application window is not open now.
10. Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2026-27
Kotak Kanya is aimed at meritorious girl students who have completed Class 12 and secured first-year admission to selected professional degree courses such as Engineering, MBBS, Law, Design, Architecture and specified science programmes. It is designed for students from lower-income families and can provide substantial annual support during the degree, subject to continuation rules.
The 2026-27 application deadline was September 30, 2026 and is now closed. Students should not submit information to unofficial sites claiming that the deadline is still active.
11. INSPIRE Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE)
INSPIRE-SHE is a well-known option for Class 12 science students who enter basic and natural science degree programmes. Under the established scheme structure, students in the top 1% of their Class 12 board and certain national-level exam qualifiers can be considered, and selected scholars receive ₹80,000 per year.
However, students should not assume that a 2026-27 fresh application window is currently live. The Government stated in August 2026 that INSPIRE-SHE is under redesign, and the official portal has not announced a new fresh 2026 call. Interested students should watch the INSPIRE portal rather than using old application dates.
12. Japanese Government MEXT Undergraduate Scholarship
For Class 12 students interested in studying abroad, MEXT is a fully funded Government of Japan scholarship. The India 2027 Undergraduate recruitment required at least 80% for students who had already completed Grade 12 and offered tuition exemption, a monthly allowance and round-trip airfare.
Applications for the 2027 intake were accepted in India from April 23 to May 25, 2026 and are now closed. Students planning for a future intake should watch the Embassy of Japan and the relevant Japanese Consulate rather than relying on the old 2026 form.

- Current admission letter, bonafide certificate or institution ID
- Current fee receipt
- Aadhaar card or other accepted identity proof

How to Apply for Scholarships After Class 10 or 12
Because the schemes use different portals, students should avoid filling random forms from search results. A simple application sequence helps prevent duplicate or wrong applications.
- Identify your present study stage: A Class 10 pass-out entering Class 11 should focus on senior-secondary scholarships, while a Class 12 pass-out should check first-year UG, diploma, professional-course or study-abroad scholarships.
- Check the deadline before doing anything else: Remove schemes that are already closed unless you are planning for the next cycle.
- Match eligibility carefully: Check marks, income, gender, course, domicile, disability and institution conditions.
- Use the official application route: Government scholarships may use NSP or a state portal; private scholarships use the provider or authorised scholarship platform.
- Prepare and upload documents: Use clear current documents and avoid substituting an old income certificate or unrelated proof.
- Review the form before final submission: A wrong bank account, course year or category can delay or invalidate an otherwise eligible application.
- Track verification and selection: Many scholarships require institute verification, aptitude tests, interviews or later document checks after the initial form is submitted.
Scholarships for Class 10th & 12th Passed Students 2026-27 FAQs
Q. Can a student apply for more than one scholarship after Class 12?
Yes, a student can often submit applications to several scholarships while the selection process is underway. However, some government and private schemes do not allow beneficiaries to receive two overlapping scholarships at the same time. Read the final award conditions before accepting multiple benefits.
Q. What should I do if a scholarship deadline has already passed?
Do not use an unofficial link or change the academic year in an old form. Check whether the provider has announced an extension. If not, note the likely next cycle and apply to scholarships that are still open now.
Q. Are students who take a gap year after Class 12 eligible for these scholarships?
It depends on the scheme. Some programmes require admission immediately after the qualifying examination or specifically restrict eligibility to first-year students of the current academic session. Others allow a wider gap. The individual scholarship rule must be checked before applying.
Q. Which scholarship should a student apply for first if several are open?
Start with the scholarships whose deadline is closest and whose eligibility matches clearly. Government/NSP applications that require institution verification should also be completed early because errors may need correction before the verification window closes.
